I did not like Lillian Daniel’s whiny and irritable article. Either she had a bad writing day or she is somewhat the arrogant church panderer. Those “boring people” are just trying to be polite and innocuous. In the article she seems to be both religiously hoity and affluently toity. Instead of flying, she can ride the bus. I’ll bet she will have different life experiences to write about.
I notice she does not have a comments box on her web page, “where other people might call you on stuff” (quoting her article). She claims to want this challenge but the evidence is otherwise.
She implies that she digs deeply into a tradition she did not invent “Where life with God gets rich and provocative”. — more like a tick on a lap dog, I reckon.
I guess her writing did not provoke me into joining her church after all. She must be only trying to give her church buddies a good feeling about themselves when compared to other self-centered types who are merely spiritual.
With study comes knowledge, theology excepted.
